Why we do this?
Sherpa Graze Farm was built on the belief that strong animals come from steady care and a hands-on approach. We do this to pass on values of hard work, responsibility, and respect — especially to young 4-H families learning what it means to raise livestock the right way. Every sheep we raise reflects the pride we take in our work and our commitment to the ranching way of life.

Our Feeding Practices
Good nutrition, thoughtful care, and a commitment to raising quality livestock.
At Sherpa Graze Farm, we believe that raising healthy, quality sheep starts with the little things we do every day. From the feed we provide to the attention we give each animal, we take pride in caring for our flock.
Our sheep are raised primarily on a carefully managed feeding program of grass and alfalfa hay rather than relying on daily pasture grazing. We believe in providing consistent, dependable nutrition that supports healthy growth, strong development, and the overall well-being of our animals.
As the seasons change, so do the nutritional needs of our flock. During breeding preparation, we provide supplemental grain when flushing our ewes, giving them additional nutritional support as they enter the breeding season. Our nursing mothers also receive supplemental grain during lactation to help support their increased nutritional demands while caring for their lambs.
We understand that every stage of a sheep’s life brings different needs, and we do our best to meet those needs with patience, experience, and attentive care.
To us, raising sheep is more than simply feeding livestock. It’s a responsibility, a commitment, and a way of life.
Whether our lambs are destined for the show ring, a breeding program, or another family farm, our goal remains the same: to give every animal a healthy beginning and a strong foundation for the future.

At Sherpa Graze Farm, our sheep are more than just livestock. They are the heart of our farm and a responsibility we take seriously every single day.
We believe that raising quality sheep begins long before a lamb is born. It starts with selecting our breeding stock, providing proper nutrition, and creating an environment where our animals can grow and thrive.
From preparing our ewes for breeding season to welcoming new lambs into the world, we take a hands-on approach to caring for our flock. Lambing season is an especially important time on our farm. We carefully watch over our mothers and newborns, providing assistance when needed and giving each lamb the best possible start in life.
Our breeding program focuses on raising Suffolk and Hampshire crossbred sheep with an emphasis on sound structure, healthy development, and desirable qualities for both the show ring and breeding programs.
We understand that producing quality livestock takes time, patience, and dedication. Not every lamb will be a show champion, but we believe every lamb deserves the same commitment to its health and well-being.
Our promise is simple: to raise our sheep with integrity, treat them with compassion, and never lose sight of the responsibility that comes with caring for them.
